Greetings and welcome to the JRCERT 50th Anniversary Excellence in Education Conference website! Keynote Speaker, Laura Aaron, Ph.D, R.T.(R)(M)(QM)

The JRCERT is proud to announce that the keynote presentation at the JRCERT 50th Anniversary Excellence in Education Conference will be given by Laura Aaron, Ph.D., R.T.(R)(M)(QM), FASRT. Dr. Aaron is a professor at the Northwestern State University School of Allied Health and recently served as the Chair of the JRCERT Board of Directors. Dr. Aaron will present “Tricks of the Trade for Radiologic Sciences  Educators/Strategies for Becoming an Effective Educator.” More information on Dr. Aaron and all of the speakers can be found on the Speakers page.

Greetings from Melissa Jackowski, Ed.D., R.T.(R)(M), FASRT, ASRT Board of Directors Chair

Melissa Jackowski earned her certificate in radiography at Wilkes Regional Medical Center. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in radiologic science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and both her master’s and doctoral degrees in health professions education from North Carolina State University. 

Dr. Jackowski has worked as a radiographer, a leader, and an educator at both the community college and University. In 2015, she took her passion for imaging and staff and leadership development and joined the Siemens Healthineers team as a Competency Management Development Specialist.

Dr. Jackowski has been actively involved with the NCSRT, Inc. and the ASRT. At the national level, she has been Vice-Chair of the Editorial Review Board, Education Delegate and Education Steering Committee Chair,  B.S.R.S. Curriculum Revision Workgroup Committee Member, RT in DC participant and a Research Grant Advisory Panel Member. She attended both the ASRT Affiliate Leadership and Educator Academies and lectured in the ASRT Leadership Academy. She has been Secretary-Treasurer, Vice-President, President-Elect, President, and is the current ASRT Board of Directors Chair.
